Made to feel very special
Perfect massage. Delicious food. Wonderful service, Sarahs massage was luxurious. Service was perfect at lunch in the snug!! Only fault was my time for the spa day experience wasn't long enough!!! I loved it 😃
Fabulous
Dunston Hall in Norfolk was fantastic. Check in with Jelena, was smooth as you like. Our room was great. It was clean, comfortable, big and quiet. We had a King room. TV and remote worked great, no dead batteries like some hotels we have been to. I needed a few things from housekeeping, I asked at reception and they were delivered straight away. Now the staff in both the Bar/Lounge area and the restaurant, where do I begin, they were all superb. We want to mention them by name, I did not write them down they were just that memorable. First off was Katy (Katie?) in the bar area, she was warm, welcoming and like seeing a friend. Lily the same and Alex too. Just aces! In the dining room Orla at dinner was attentive and friendly and at breakfast Helen was bubbly and friendly. It was our first time away since my husband had been fighting a rare blood cancer. He was told it was in remission and we booked in at Dunston on whim. It was ideally located for us to go see and ride the steam trains. The golf course looked wonderful, but we did not play a round. We would totally return to the hotel, if only to sit and relax in the bar/lounge some more and see Katy. Thank you Dunston Hall for a stress free break.
Great venue, amazing staff
Fantastic venue. Great room. Great food. Really good value. Fantastic staff. A particular mention for Lauren who was just amazing, friendly and professional. We cannot say enough good things about her and all of the staff at Dunston Hall. We will visit again thanks to the friendliness there. It makes all the difference. Keep it up.
Fantastic!
Thank you, Lois, for a wonderful massage and facial (and lots of laughs); I enjoyed the lovely pool and relaxation room too. The spa reception ladies are so friendly and helpful, thank you. I will definitely be back!
End of season dinner
Went to donation for our end of season dinner had such a good time Rudy and Taylor made sure that everyone was taken care of even though we were definitely giving them a hard time 10/10 experience
Great weekend away
Dunston Hall was such a lovely weekend get away. The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. The spa is lovely, the staff are so friendly. Would definitely recommend Haley if you need a massage. Left my appointment so relaxed and the tension in my shoulders gone. The golf was brilliant, my husband had a great time. Again the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the course. Will definitely be back again.
Great experience
The hotel is beautiful, staff at the reception very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities great too!!! Food in the main restaurant delicious and nicely presented and lovely staff too. The only little minus is food at lunchtime, feels like eating leftovers from a day before, definitely not freshly made focaccia or any other bread. We stayed there for two nights so plenty of other options to find for lunch near by.
Good but no slope for wheelchair users to the garden
We all enjoyed our stay the food was lovely the staff were very friendly & helpful., but the lifts are very confusing the floor numbers don’t the buttons in the lift. If your in a wheelchair there is no slope to get from the garden room or restaurant you have to be let out via a fire exit onto gravel/stones at the end of the building .
Golf break
Nice hotel.Staff v friendly and helpful. Golf course in poor condition due to dry weather and overuse. The tee boxes are in uncared for condition.
10/10 staff
I attended here for a work conference and was very impressed with the staff, especially a lady named Erika. She was very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable of her role.
A gift with memories
It was a very relaxing day. We were given a lunch voucher by the spa staff. The only downside was that I didn't receive my glass of prosecco, and I didnt realise until I arrived home to look at the booking. However, Lois made my day with a most excellent massage (head and back) and a mini facial. Hot and cold, exfoliation and oils and getting rid of a persistent knot in my shoulder was a most wonderful way to spend and hour or so. There was an additional bonus to being able to alight from my chair without the ache in my hips afterwards. Lois was a very cheerful, experienced massager, so thank you. Dunston Hall was very pleasant and there was ample room to park. All the staff made us feel very welcome.
Great group visit location
I organised a group of 22 people from our car club to stay at Dunston Hall over the weekend while we explored the region. The hotel is delightful and has great character. The staff are all very helpful and noting is too much trouble. Food is good and they catered well for our big group. All our participants were full of praise for our hotel choice. Thoroughly recommend this place.
Massage
I had a lovely spa day with my friend. Both had a massage and use of the pool and facilities. Haley was very professional and I left the massage thoroughly relaxed. 5*
Outstanding - with fantastic staff.
We had a wonderful time - room was nice and quiet, food was outstanding, the spa beautiful. One not so good aspect was the endless loud disco in the lovely bar area - bearing in mind it was occupied by mostly grey haired people it seems a shame shouting was required to make oneself heard over the music. The staff were wonderful - Lewis was very good in the restaurant. We will be back!
Jacob the Pianist was incredible!!
Jacob the pianist was the highlight of our trip. We had a delicious dinner and then sat for drinks and dessert watching Jacob play the piano and take requests from us. He was so talented and was able to play anything we requested. Absolutely invaluable and we loved this entertainment - thank you Jacob!
Fred at dinner was great
Beautiful stay and dinner - Fred was fantastic at dinner: 5* service!
Amazing
When we arrived the reception staff immediately arranged for our room to be made ready for early check in while we waited we had a complimentary drink and afternoon tea was amazing and to top it off me and my daughter had an amazing massage by Rachel who was very good so far all staff have been friendly and helpful going above and beyond
Lovely staff and a memorable experience
I recently visited this hotel for a spa weekend getaway with my mum, and we had such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the staff made us feel welcome and well-cared for. The highlight of the trip was definitely the massage. I had explained to the team beforehand that I had never had a massage before, and I was quite nervous. I was lucky enough to be booked with Victoria, who was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything, listened to my concerns, and made me feel completely comfortable and at ease throughout the entire treatment. The whole weekend was a fantastic experience, and we are already talking about coming back again. Highly recommended!
Lovely place!
Went as part of a coach trip with GB Tours. The hotel is beautiful, very large, Victorian- built in a mock Tudor style. Our room was very nice, a large corner room, good accessibility as the friend with me has mobility issues. The room was very clean and serviced daily. The food was excellent, plenty of choice and good portions. The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds and has a golf course attached. There are spa and pool facilities, which we personally didn't try, but the option was there. All in all, a lovely place to stay.
