Overall we had a great time at Dunston Hall. I do think there are opportunities to improve the experience for the guests. We stayed in a family room. Our check in was as just okay, friendly enough but we were not given details on where the breakfast was the next morning or where the pool was. It was a bit rushed and didn’t feel hugely welcoming. The room was very much in the style of a Premier Inn family room but actually a little more rough around the edges. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were not. Also was hugely dated with a pretty poor shower. Lots of scratches and marks in the room. Very clean though. The TV is tiny. We’ve stayed in a number of country hotels. This one felt like more of a golf course with an added hotel. Perhaps using an elite stately home idea for a hotel that actually needs an upgrade. A lot of the hotel itself is very dated. It feels a little too pompous for what it actually is. Breakfast is okay, pretty average and nothing localised. The server Kristie was lovely and probably the best thing about the hotel. The pool changing rooms are more local leisure centre than a spa. Pool was nice enough.

Had a wonderful overnight spa break for two friends birthdays. Lovely venue , staff very polite and attentive. The food was great too . All topped off with a fabulous spa treatment with Claudia. Thank you will definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a golf break with 3 friends, the course was nice, the spa had great facilities and the service was incredible. Great friendly staff particularly; Lara and Fred who were excellent and accommodating in every single way.

This was our second stay at the Dunston Hall. We stayed at Dunston Hall as a Family with our lovely dog. This place is amazing. Helpful staffs, delicious food and AC was great for the hot weather. Will visit again.

We stayed five nights at Dunston Hall while my children attended the Newday festival at Norfolk Showground, and it was the perfect choice. I have absolutely no regrets. As a wheelchair user, I was genuinely blown away by how attentive and proactive the entire team was. Staff offered help before I even had to ask, which made me feel completely at ease rather than treated as a number. Jelena and the team on front of house was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and Victoria gave me an incredible facial in the spa. The spa itself deserves special praise for accessibility. They have a power chair that takes you down the steps, and staff are on hand to help you in and out of the pool and spa bath (which even has its own hand bar!). I’ve visited many top spas over the years, and very few come close to this level of accessibility. The deep tissue massage I had was fantastic too, and the whole Health Club team were friendly and helpful throughout. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Debbie from the client team and Seb, the maintenance engineer. While I was unloading my electric wheelchair from the car, a bolt had come off on the front wheel. Debbie spotted me from fifty metres away and came straight over to help, radioing maintenance immediately. Seb was with me within five minutes, dug through his toolkit, shaved down a screw to the right size, and found a replacement bolt. My chair has honestly never felt sturdier. That level of care and problem-solving is rare. I travel constantly between London and New York for work, so finding somewhere in Norwich this beautiful, relaxing, and genuinely accessible, staffed by people who clearly want to be there, means a lot. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend Dunston Hall wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to feel like a person, not a number. Thank you to Debbie, Jelena, Victoria, and especially Seb. You went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful, especially travelling with three children.

Best Q Hotel we have stayed in and we have been to a lot. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location was so relaxing especially sitting on the terrace off the bar area looking across the golf course and grounds. Pool was fabulous. Bedroom was huge (family of 4 with two large beds). Breakfast was perfect and plenty of choice for all. Will definitely be returning and with our dog as they are also dog friendly. Wish we had a longer stay this time as didn’t want to leave.

Absolutely fantastic time with some friends this week at Dunston Hall Hotel, as part of a golf group. We booked the Bolt Hole a 3 Bedroom self contained apartment with private parking, full kitchen (think farmhouse kitchen) exceptional lounge area and 3 en suite double bedrooms ( 1 had 2 doubles) it was sensational! One small critique perhaps some aircon as it was a bit warm in this current weather The service in the Bar / Restaurant was spot on and we all really enjoyed it. The Golf Course was fantastic well kept and a great challenge. The golf team in the pro shop were also really helpful Definitely a trip to be repeated

The hotel is a beautiful imposing building and the welcome was warm and friendly. Lunch in the garden lounge bar was ok. The pool and health club facilities are good although tired looking. There is upgrade work going on in the health club. The spa treatment from Claudia was the nicest treatment I’ve ever had. So calming, and relaxing. Left me feeling de-stressed and better. Rooms are clean, comfortable and provide good facilities.

We had a lovely time at our spa day & we both had 75 minutes worth of treatments. I myself had Lois & she was so kind and friendly and put me at ease on my long awaited pamper!! I had a gorgeous facial followed by a foot spa and they were both were absolutely amazing! My husband had the lovely Imogen, who done a full body massage, with shoulders and scalp and he felt so relaxed afterwards, he really was pampered too! Thank you both so much for making our spa day so great!! Hopefully we will be back soon & we would love to have these two do our treatments again!!

Booked a few days for a solo birthday getaway. Got a treatment at the spa and Haley was fantastic, didn’t want to leave. Loved the food as well. Walked the grounds and enjoyed my whole time there.

We had a wonderful weekday spa day at Dunston Hall, its such a beautiful site. Really enjoyed having lunch out on the terrace overlooking the gorgeous grounds. I also had the most relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage with Claudia, so deeply relaxing! Would definitely like to return here. Bith restaurant and spa staff incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Four of us booked this hotel for a golf break and catch up. We stayed at the Bolt Hole which had 3 en-suit bedrooms, kitchen and large dining table which was great for sitting round and chatting after dinner. The accomodation was spotless and comfortable. The location is ideal next to the first tee. We ate dinner at the hotel, the food and service was first class and an exceptional breakfast with plenty of choice to round up our stay. Would Highly recommended for a golf trip or hotel stay

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Kieran in the Brasserie! Kieran went above and beyond to cater for my food allergy. Rather than making me feel like an inconvenience, he took the time to ensure I could enjoy the same breakfast experience as my friend, who has no dietary restrictions. His attention to detail, willingness to help, and genuine care made all the difference. This level of service was not consistent among all members of the restaurant team, which made Kieran's professionalism stand out even more. He is a real credit to the team, and I hope his customer service is recognised. Thank you, Kieran, for making what can often be a stressful dining experience feel easy, welcoming, and enjoyable.

It was a birthday gift from my husband, and I had an amazing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my spa day. The swimming pool was spotless and well maintained, and the sauna was excellent. The massage was truly incredible and one of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back. I would also love for my parents to experience the same level of relaxation and pleasure that I had here. They are planning to stay at the hotel in October or November, and I know they would really enjoy it. It would be great to receive a discount during that season as well. Thank you.

Amazing spa day. Had the best facial with Kristie. Seriously, if you want glass skin go to her. Food and service at the bar was brilliant and excellent value, we were really well looked after by Katy and Joe in the bar. Honestly was worth the visit.

The location overlooking the 18th green always gives you something to see. The quality of the room and servicing of the room was to a high standard. The quality of food was to a high standard and it was evident that time had been taken in presentation. The swimming pool was clean and a good temperature as was the Hot Tub section. The service seen from all staff members was to a high standard and all contacted were both friendly and pleased to help. The general atmosphere was very good and there has been an improvement in all areas since my last visit ten years ago. I was so impressed I have booked a further weekend and will be looking at making this hotel a regular one to visit

Old meets new. What a nice change of pace from today's modern hotels. Rooms were comfortable and service was good. Large facility on several levels with very small elevators so you had to be patient sometimes as my wife uses a wheelchair. Friendly staff.
