Good but accessible rooms quite some distance from the reception
We stayed for 3 nights at Dunston Hall and overall it was good but we had a accessible room as my wife has very limited mobility. To access the room you had to use 2 lifts (or stairs) and walk quite some distance from the room to the dining room or reception. This was a real struggle for her. To have the accessible rooms so far from the main areas of the hotel really wasn't good. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good and overall we would consider going back if we could get a room nearer reception that was accessible
Lovely getaway
Booked a spa package - stayed one night at the hotel and had dinner, breakfast, spa access and a 50 minute treatment included. Staff were friendly and service was good. Room was nice and spacious. Had an amazing treatment with Lois. In hind sight I wish we’d of booked another treatment too!
Excellent, relaxing and chill
A great spa day. Relaxing, stress free and total chill out day. Caroline was my therapist and she did the most amazing massage and exfoliation. Felt like a new person afterwards. Amy looked after my mum with a relaxing treatment and mum was floating on air afterwards. Five stars for both therapists! Lunch was delicious, pretty simple, but not rushed and Mel couldnt do enough for us. We will definitely be back again. Thank you to everyone for a fabulous day.
Relaxation time
Fantastic place to relax. Staff were welcoming. Imogen from the spa team gave a fantastic massage. Lara from the restaurant was friendly and service was very quick. Food was delicious! Looking forward to next time.
Spa experience made my stay
Spa review: I had Amy for my express facial and Indian head massage which was lovely. Different technique with the head massage, to include my ears, which was appreciated and needed. Victoria was my therapist for my deep tissue massage. Again different technique for my feet which was so relaxing. Great pressure without needing to request harder. Lovely relaxation room with background noise of gym music which was actually a nice mix keeping my relaxed but not too much of a shock before going to outside world. Spa staff lovely and welcoming. Products good quality and not too overpowering. Rooms pretty standard I had an issue which was managed well. Evening meal and breakfast standard. Gym standard though not a great set up especially if on the treadmills as they're infront of a mirror! Swimming pool and sauna was quiet and relaxed. Overall a good enough experience
Golf day
Day of golf followed by a lovely massage (Thank you Sarah).
A great spa day
I've been to Dunston Hall for a spa day several times now, and it is always wonderful; the pool facilities, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are lush and the spa treatments are fantastic. My most recent visit I had a back and face massage with Georgia, and left feeling super chilled out and refreshed. Would definitely recommend!
Relax and chill
Lovely location. Staff all very friendly. Great food both at breakfast and dinner. Had two spa treatments with Georgia and she has left me feeling so relaxed and my skin so soft and smooth. Definitely recommend a treatment.
Spa stay
Excellent one stay night for spa experience. Food really lovely. Everyone super friendly and helpful from making booking to staying over. Would definitely recommend Dunston Hall.

Elite not elitist required.
Overall we had a great time at Dunston Hall. I do think there are opportunities to improve the experience for the guests. We stayed in a family room. Our check in was as just okay, friendly enough but we were not given details on where the breakfast was the next morning or where the pool was. It was a bit rushed and didn’t feel hugely welcoming. The room was very much in the style of a Premier Inn family room but actually a little more rough around the edges. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were not. Also was hugely dated with a pretty poor shower. Lots of scratches and marks in the room. Very clean though. The TV is tiny. We’ve stayed in a number of country hotels. This one felt like more of a golf course with an added hotel. Perhaps using an elite stately home idea for a hotel that actually needs an upgrade. A lot of the hotel itself is very dated. It feels a little too pompous for what it actually is. Breakfast is okay, pretty average and nothing localised. The server Kristie was lovely and probably the best thing about the hotel. The pool changing rooms are more local leisure centre than a spa. Pool was nice enough.
Great stay!
Excellent stay in every regard - appealing approach from entrance, warm welcome at reception, great food, friendly but efficient staff, comfortable room and public areas and, very importantly, somewhere to walk the dogs! Oh, nearly forgot - fantastic to see my favourite ale (Doombar) on draught, something quite rare!
Fabulous
Had a wonderful overnight spa break for two friends birthdays. Lovely venue , staff very polite and attentive. The food was great too . All topped off with a fabulous spa treatment with Claudia. Thank you will definitely recommend.
Excellent Service
Stayed here for a golf break with 3 friends, the course was nice, the spa had great facilities and the service was incredible. Great friendly staff particularly; Lara and Fred who were excellent and accommodating in every single way.
Awesome beauty treatment
Went to chill Mother and Daughter. Spa experience was brilliant. Best facial by Claudia 10/10
Great Hotel!!
This was our second stay at the Dunston Hall. We stayed at Dunston Hall as a Family with our lovely dog. This place is amazing. Helpful staffs, delicious food and AC was great for the hot weather. Will visit again.
an incredible stay from start to finish
We stayed five nights at Dunston Hall while my children attended the Newday festival at Norfolk Showground, and it was the perfect choice. I have absolutely no regrets. As a wheelchair user, I was genuinely blown away by how attentive and proactive the entire team was. Staff offered help before I even had to ask, which made me feel completely at ease rather than treated as a number. Jelena and the team on front of house was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and Victoria gave me an incredible facial in the spa. The spa itself deserves special praise for accessibility. They have a power chair that takes you down the steps, and staff are on hand to help you in and out of the pool and spa bath (which even has its own hand bar!). I’ve visited many top spas over the years, and very few come close to this level of accessibility. The deep tissue massage I had was fantastic too, and the whole Health Club team were friendly and helpful throughout. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Debbie from the client team and Seb, the maintenance engineer. While I was unloading my electric wheelchair from the car, a bolt had come off on the front wheel. Debbie spotted me from fifty metres away and came straight over to help, radioing maintenance immediately. Seb was with me within five minutes, dug through his toolkit, shaved down a screw to the right size, and found a replacement bolt. My chair has honestly never felt sturdier. That level of care and problem-solving is rare. I travel constantly between London and New York for work, so finding somewhere in Norwich this beautiful, relaxing, and genuinely accessible, staffed by people who clearly want to be there, means a lot. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend Dunston Hall wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to feel like a person, not a number. Thank you to Debbie, Jelena, Victoria, and especially Seb. You went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful, especially travelling with three children.
Summer perfection
Best Q Hotel we have stayed in and we have been to a lot. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location was so relaxing especially sitting on the terrace off the bar area looking across the golf course and grounds. Pool was fabulous. Bedroom was huge (family of 4 with two large beds). Breakfast was perfect and plenty of choice for all. Will definitely be returning and with our dog as they are also dog friendly. Wish we had a longer stay this time as didn’t want to leave.
