A Perfect Birthday Weekend Away
My husband spoilt me for a weekend away at Dunstan Hall for my birthday. What a find, but everything was to our satisfaction. Super King bed and large room. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Plus thoughtful details from the staff to make a birthday memorable. A special shout out to Rosie in the dining area who served and seated us for dinner and breakfast. Elizabeth who serves us for our afternoon tea. Food and drinks over the weekend were spot on. Amy worked wonders on my tight and stressed muscles with a deep tissue massage and relaxing facial in the spa. I love Elemis! The pool and gym areas were of a decent size and not too crowded. Plus jacuzzi, steam room and sauna all included in our stay. My husband was going to play some golf, but the course was water logged unfortunately. Instead he went to the golf range and played some snooker. A wonderful stay, would recommend and return again!
All arounds pretty great
If you're looking for a nice scenic and relaxing hotel to stay at I would say that this one tick the boxes. The grounds themselves are fantastic and look stunning very picturesque. The hotel also looks great and has a very nice selection of facilities and the room was great with a very comfy bed in our case definitely would stay here again.
Short break
Overall the stay was satisfactory, the room was in need of a refresh. Mould stain on ceiling, exposed wood panelling on bath, broken draw on dressing table. There were issues with the evening meals served in the restaurant, bread for the table arrived with the starters, no butter knife, BBQ pork starter was dry but tasty and the steak was over cooked. The following evening, the crispy kale was bitter, and very oily, thé boulanger potatoes were very dry, duck breast one was cooked perfectly, the other very tough to the point I requested a steak knife. Breakfast on the other hand was perfect, food cooked well and tasty. Plenty of choice, Kristy the manger of breakfast service was attentive and openly welcomed feedback to ensure customers had a good experience. We didn’t eat in the lounge but the menu looked good.
A lovely stay with excellent service
Stayed for the weekend as part of a group event. The room was comfortable although a little dated. The service was excellent, especially from Taylor who was assigned to look after our group - he was very organised, friendly and capable. Treated myself to a spa treatment which was a lovely start to the weekend.
A Perfect Hotel
I have just stayed at Dunston Hall with my family and booked three rooms, and all the rooms were of a very high standard and were spotlessly clean. The food quallity and service in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. We all went swimming in the lovely pool area with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi which added to the experience. We all had a great time and would stay again, hopefully in the near future.
Ok
A bit of a rabbit warren find our suite, up and down stairs. Bar food was burnt on our first night. The staff said sorry but that was it? Disappointed with their attitude.
Spa day
Spa day with family for my birthday. Wonderful food for the light lunch, with very helpful kind service. Relaxing facial from Kelly, who was polite and informative it which products used and why. Highly recommend.
A great place to meet family and friends catchup in great facilities and to celebrate without worry.
We used the hotel for family and friends celebrating my mother's life after her funeral. We stayed the evening for dinner and drinks and used the Spa in the afternoon. The facilities were good - a little tired in places (the hotel is being renovated) but otherwise excellent. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and their service was first rate. We would definitely recommend the hotel and will return - thank you!
Treat
Would recommend a visit. Even though they are refurbishing parts it didn't cause any upset. Food was good quality especially the breakfast. I used the spa facilities and came away feeling fantastic. Hayley did a great job. Try and get an appointment with her. Husband recommends the driving range.
Spa experience with Amy
I came to the spa on the 28th February for a shoulder, neck and scalp massage. This was done by a lovely lady named Amy. I have never been to a spa before and did not know what to expect, Amy was very professional and informative. She was exactly who you’d want, so friendly, welcoming and softly spoken. Thank you very much! X
Server Charlie was awesome
Went to the restaurant to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. Food was ok but Charlie our server made up for that, he was amazing very attentive, friendly absolute credit to the company. Charlie you are awesome thank you for being so kind.
Beautiful way to start 2026!
Beautiful setting, ambiance, welcoming staff. Our stay was relaxed, and enjoyable. Our room was spotless, everything you could possibly need for an overnight stay. Using the spa facilities is a must, treat yourself to a massage to, the best way to end your stay at Dunston Hall. Easy to locate by vehicle. Plenty to do, especially if your into golf. A night away with a spa treatment that doesnt break the bank. Thank-you for making us feel welcome.
Wonderful Elemis Spa Treatment!
I was given a spa day voucher as a birthday present and took full advantage of the opportunity to use all the facilities while I was there. I was disappointed with the health club/pool/sauna/jacuzzi/changing rooms as they are all very tired and outdated. There are renovations in progress in the area so hopefully these facilities will also get a new lease of life. What made me give a 5* review was the Elemis body scrub and wellness massage with Georgia. It’s was the best spa treatment I’ve had in years!!
Comfortable hotel with friendly staff in need of a few little tweaks
Comfortable and well located hotel with friendly staff. Nice pool and good food. The hotel is currently undergoing some refurbishment works which are needed as it does look a little "tired". Our room on the third floor was perfectly adequate but quite cold. We were told the new air conditioning/heating system was quite complicated to master! Also, I requested a hot water with a slice of lemon at breakfast if possible, which on both occasions I was told that no lemons could be found, which I thought was hard to believe!! Very useful Park and Ride into Norwich only a few minutes drive away.
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel with staff who are all so nice and friendly.. We always stay here when we visit family and I enjoy my swim before breakfast.
Family stay
Had a lovely stay, staff are friendly and the rooms clean. Ate in the restaurant which was good. Will definitely visit again.
Would love to come back
Wonderful stay at DH. Beautiful hotel and grounds, very friendly helpful staff, beds super comfy and lovely hot shower. Food both at dinner and breakfast delicious. Spa was great and a huge shout out to Amy in the Spa who made such a difference to my mum who was having a tough day
Georgia - therapist
I’ve just come out of a 2 hour treatment with Georgia and I have to say it was amazing. I’ve had many facials and massages but that was by far the best. I always struggle to switch off but today Georgia managed to get me out of my own head in minutes. She’s very professional, welcoming and makes you feel at ease. We discussed what I wanted out of the treatments and she certainly did all of that and talked me through everything she was going to do before and what she had used after. My skin feels amazing, and I feel very relaxed. When I come back again I will certainly be asking to book in with Georgia specifically. Thank you xx
Great massage with Caroline
I went with a friend for a spa day, and it was better than I was expecting. We started with a swim in the pool, which was really quiet, and we used the sauna, steam room and spa bath, all were clean and nice. Though the pool area could do with a refresh. Lockers are free and easy to use. We had lunch which was delicious with quick friendly service. Then we sat in the sun (in our robs) in the garden terrace which was lovely. Then, saving the best till last, we had our treatments. I had a welness massage, which translates to a full body massage, and an express facial. Caroline did my massage and she was amazing, very friendly and an excellent masseuse. I will definitely be booking again with her. I left feeling amazing and revitalised. Thank you to everyone at Dunstan Hall
Lovely relaxing day
I had been given a voucher for a spa day at Dunston Hall and attended today with my friend. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The facilities were all clean and tidy. My treatments were with Victoria and she was super lovely and I felt very relaxed and at ease. She did an excellent job and I felt amazing afterwards!! The only very minor criticism I have is of staff entering the pool area in outdoor shoes. It felt a bit gross and I heard other people commenting on this. Overall though a wonderful relaxing day and definitely something I would like to book again at some point. Thank you to all the staff.
